Zurich/Houston - ANYbotics has entered into a partnership with the Houston-based oilfield service provider SLB. Zurich-based ANYBOTICS has designed diagnostic robots to increase safety and efficiency in hazardous oil and gas field environments.

Basel/Rotkreuz - Roche Diagnostics Division is further expanding one of its most important sites: the old production building in Rotkreuz in the Swiss canton of Zug is being replaced by a more modern and significantly larger facility. It will provide space for developments aiding rapid and reliable disease diagnosis.

Zurich/Bern - LatticeFlow AI has secured around 3 million US dollars in funding from Innosuisse. In so doing, the Swiss Innovation Agency is financing the world’s first platform that combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) governance with technical evaluations.

Zurich/Austin - Climeworks has agreed its second largest contract to date with Morgan Stanley. Climeworks is tasked with removing a total of 40,000 tons of CO2 from the air by 2037 on behalf of the New York-based financial services company. Zurich/Lugano - Sygnum has announced the opening of an office in Lugano. There, the digital bank intends to work more closely with the growing Bitcoin ecosystem and the city’s Plan B network for the promotion of blockchain technology. Moreover, Sygnum is launching an initiative aimed at agreeing new partnerships.

Munich - Measured in relation to its population, Switzerland has the second highest number of patent applications for inventions in Europe. It also ranks in the top three for academic patents per full-time equivalent. These findings are the result of an analysis carried out by the European Patent Office (EPO).

Zurich - UMAMI is building a new indoor farm for microgreens and herbs in Zurich. This will require around 90 percent less water and land than a conventional greenhouse. The start-up raised the requisite funding for this project in a Series A financing round.
