Zurich – The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) has been placed sixth in the QS World University Rankings and is the second-best university in Europe. With this best ever performance in a ranking, it has also pushed ahead of the University of Cambridge.
Diving robot Scubo 2.0 heads to the USA
Zurich – Students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich have developed a diving robot named Scubo 2.0. They will become the first Swiss team ever to take part in the biggest competition for remote-controlled underwater robots held in the USA.

Schlieren ZH – Biopharmaceutical company Elthera has been awarded a 2.5 million euro grant from Horizon 2020, the EU’s funding program for research and innovation. Elthera develops antibodies that can be used to treat cancer.

Fuel made from sunlight and air
Zurich - Researchers at ETH Zurich have successfully produced CO2-neutral fuel from sunlight and ambient air. A pilot plant is now being used to prove that the concept also functions properly under real conditions. The researchers are expecting to be able to achieve CO2-neutral air travel.
Driverless bus makes the journey to Rhine Falls
