The government’s Technology Fund, which supports Swiss companies developing innovative products to sustainably reduce CO2 emissions, has granted a loan guarantee to eCarUp. The “innovative sharing economy approach” fostered by eCarUp helped secure the guarantee.
Because the billing solution developed by the company from Rotkreuz can be installed in existing charging stations, it facilitates the rental of private and semi-private charging stations to third parties when they are not in use.
With the fresh capital, eCarUp plans to invest in the growth and expansion of the platform. International expansion is a core focus. The app is already available in four languages (English, German, French and Italian), while partnerships have been established in Germany, Italy and Austria. The company is now seeking to strengthen its international presence.
